We offer two primary types of additional domain hosting for existing customers. This is to allow you to grow into more domains without the additional monthly fees of adding on more Primary Plans (like A, B, C, D, E, F).

The difference on the domains is described as below:

IP'less domains:

These domains will use your existing FTP location of your main site and be under your main folder in this style:
/home/httpd/mainIPdomain.com/NewIPlessdomain

It will exist on the web of course as
http://www.yourdomain.com or http://yourdomain.com

If you want us to register this domain for you we can do so at $15 a year. Simply put in the comments of the order you would like to have the domain registered as well.

Some older browsers will see the main IP of the site, so if you have a Main IP of an adult site and want a IP'less non adult site it could be an embarrassing situation. I suggest a Plan J in that situation.

When submitting the order please note in the comments the main IP domain for us to map your IP'less domain under.

IP Based domains (Plan J):

IP's have been in the past on some search engines better for ranking, although lately it has been shown that it does not matter. We do recommend an IP however if you need a separate FTP login and pass for the location.

Plan J will also use your existing space on your main plan and existing transfer allotment for a fee of $10 extra a month per IP. We do have discounts at $7 a IP for more then 10 and larger discounts for more.

Please note for 3rd level domains (keyword.domain.com) they must have a IP behind them and therefore must be a Plan J. We do make exceptions for some customers, so if you would like to consult with us about this just send a email to webmaster@california.net. We will for a one time fee of $10 do a wildcard third level domain, this does mean though that there are not separate folders for each keyword, indeed there are no folders for the 3rd level wildcard, it just means if they type in anything.domain.com it will bring the main domain up.
